Siglo de Oro, one of the leading British vocal ensembles of its generation, has been praised for its golden tone, fresh interpretations, seamless blend, and innovative programming. The group made its professional debut in 2014 in England, of which the Financial Times said: ‘Siglo de Oro, under the assured direction of Patrick Allies, performed with vivacity and poise.’ Since then, the group appeared live on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune, has given concerts across the UK and Europe. We are pleased to present this outstanding ensemble in their first tour of Canada

The St James' Music Series promotes live performances for Vancouverites and visitors in its historic buidling designed by Adrian Gilbert Scott, the brother of Giles Gilbert Scott. The heritage building from 1936 has been described as a modern version of fourteenth-century Gothic.It seats around 300, has a baby grand piano, and a three-manual, 31-rank Casavant Frères pipe organ. The Music Series that offers a diverse range of concerts by highly-accomplished artists.
